Not dead, I swear! I'm just really swamped. Again.

Updated with some of ~YarnWench's stuff, and will hopefully get some of my stuff up, too. Anyone else?

Hello I'm new to this daSpinners. Anyways, I have a question. Can I make the spin yarn into a skein, now that the bobbin is full, or wait for the yarn to keep it twist in it? I'm just worry that the yarn will come undone. I'm just learning how to spin. Also, can I dye it start after I have maded into a skein or, do I have to wash it before dyeing?

After you make it into a skein and wash it, beat it. I don't mean pussy smack it around. I mean take on end and hit it on the side of the tub; really make it scream. It helps the yarn "bloom" and evens out the twist.

 not sure if you got a reply yet or not. You'll want to use a kniddy knoddy to wrap your yarn off and then tie the yarn in a couple spots with a string in a figure eight to keep it from tangling. You can then set the twist with warm water. If you want you can die your yarn and set it at the same time. :)

Thank you for that. I was just so worry that it will get all tangle up. As you can see, it didn't.
:iconewm:
